Thrasher has approved Jeff Boren as its new football coach. He replaces James Moore, who left in mid-June after one season.
Boren comes from Kossuth, where he was defensive coordinator four out of his five years there. The 29-year-old Belmont grad also coached one season at Coldwater.
He’s getting a late start – preseason practices are four weeks away – with a team that hasn’t had a winning season or playoff appearance since 1992. The Rebels were 2-9 last season.
