Link of the Day

This being summertime, I need some new features to keep you folks coming back (and I thank you all for your readership). This Link of the Day is where I’ll post links to prep stories from around the country. And I’ll try to find stuff that relates to some of the goings-on in Mississippi.

For instance, today’s link is about Tennessee considering going from five to six classes in football in what they call Division I (to educate yourself on Tennessee football alignment, go here). They call it the “Z-plan” and are hoping it can help defray travel costs. Coaches are split on the issue.

As you know, Mississippi has decided to expand to six classifications starting with the 2009-10 school year. That was done mostly to established some parity in the middle classifications.

If any of you come across an interesting story, please pass it along and I’ll be glad to use it.
