Just got done here in Corinth. Enjoying some Taco Bell.

The East won the 3A/4A/5A game, 7-2. Tupelo’s Gardner Richey had a two-run blast to give the East a 3-2 lead in the fifth inning. His Golden Wave teammate, Joseph Koon, tossed three shutout innings in middle relief for the win.

Lee County represented. Besides those two, Tupelo’s Nathan Flanagan played superb defense in right field; Saltillo’s Adam Hill had three hits and two RBIs; Nettleton’s Ladarrius Cole had two hits; and Mooreville’s Cody Franks pitched a scoreless ninth to close things out. Saltillo’s Austin Burns got the start, allowing two runs on three hits in three innings.

In the 1A/2A game, the West won 5-3 behind strong pitching. East Union’s Zane Treadaway hurled the first three innings and got the win, while Eupora’s Devin Jones polished it off with three no-hit innings. Calhoun City’s Dante’ Jennings had a solo homer for the West, and Hatley’s Jake Sloan went yard for the East.
