Today’s Baseball Games

UPDATE: Mooreville at Nettleton at noon Saturday. Continues Monday at 4 p.m. in Mooreville. … Oxford at Pontotoc at 5 p.m. Saturday, with Monday’s time TBD.

UPDATE: Biggersville at Smithville has been moved until 1 p.m. Saturday. Don’t know about Games 2 & 3 yet.

UPDATE: Lafayette Co. at Saltillo has been delayed until 6 p.m. Saturday. The series will finish up Monday at Lafayette starting at 5:30. Oxford at Pontotoc is still, as of right now, on for tonight, but it’s been pushed back to 7 p.m.

UPDATE: East Union will visit Water Valley at 1 p.m. Saturday, and Game 2 will be played that night at 7 at East Union. Game 3, if needed, will be played at 3 p.m. Sunday at East Union.

Incoming bad weather is already starting to jumble up the playoff schedule. Hamilton-Mantachie was moved up to 4 p.m. today. New Albany and Hernando postponed today’s scheduled game at Hernando until 6 p.m. Saturday, with Games 2 and 3 (if needed) at New Albany starting at 4 p.m. Monday. More info as it comes in.

  1. Bruce will host game one of their series agaisnt Baldwyn at noon Saturday and then will head up Hwy 45 to Baldwyn for game two at 6:00 p.m.

    Friday April 18th’s opener at Ridgeland was rained delayed with an 8pm start. New Hope had a 3-0 lead after 5, but Ridgeland tied it up in the sixth and the game went to extra innings. In the top of the ninth New Hope plated the two runs which provided the margin of the 5-3 victory at 10:40pm. Games 2 & 3 at New Hope Saturday April 19th with gametime at 4pm.

    The Trojans baseball team only needed game two to advance past Ridgeland. Saturday’s game 2 ended the Titans season with New Hope prevailing 3-1 for the sweep.

    At Cleveland, the Lady Trojans avenged their game one 13-3 ten run rule loss with a 4-3 victory in twelve innings. But Cleveland came from behind in game three to win 4-3. Cleveland advances.
