2A Boys Moved

The boys Class 2A North half games for tonight and Saturday have been moved from Baldwyn to Ruleville Central. Baldwyn and the other three NeMiss teams all lost last night, so this decision makes sense, especially considering gas prices. My wife filled up at Kroger today, and it was $3.04 a gallon – after the 3-cent discount!

Brad, why not move 4A North boys to the Tad Pad? Unless Ole Miss is practicing tonight, I don’t see why not. I heard tons of parents weren’t even to watch their kids until the 4th quarter last night with the Oxford/New Hope game. I want to go watch the final, but I’m not going to go if it’s going to cause parents not to get to see their kids. They say Oxford’s gym only holds 700-800, and I know ours accomodates around 1800 and we don’t even have that big of a gym. What do you think?

  2. Not a bad idea. Ole Miss has been accommodating before with local schools, like when Lafayette was building its new field and had to practice at Vaught-Hemingway. You’d think that would be fairly easy to work out, if the team’s not practicing. Which they’re probably not, because they’re at LSU tomorrow.

That’s what I’m saying. I have no clue but it makes perfect sense. I want to go to Oxford tomorrow but I’m not going to do that if I’m somebody’s parents seats. You’d think the MHSAA would move it to accomodate more people for more $$$$$. Sad to say but in the past five years $$$$$ has become more important to the MHSAA than kids.
